Not bad....

Woohoo.....seems like it's been weeks since i last updated my blog, but upon checking,it's only been 6 days!!Hmmm...a wonder how time flies 'mentally' for me...

Well, been quite bz the past few days, trying to rush for my photography assignment, which required us to take 11 photographs with various requirements.

Had a very interesting encounter with a pigeon.I was minding my own business, looking through my camera for a nice scene, when suddenly i felt something drop on my head.Bingo!Birdshit!!Argh!!Well, thank God i had a friend with me,so i didn't feel that embarassed. And thank God,she's brave enough to venture into my hair with a tissue to help me remove the wonderful 'gift' from the pigeon.

Other than that bird poo experience,i had a not-too-bad week.

Went for the annual Brisbane River Festival yesterday with a group of friends to catch the fireworks.Thought we'll meet at 4pm so that we can get a gd spot to watch the fireworks at 7pm.Who knows, when we got there, the place was packed full of people.Seems like they've been sitting there for a while, cos they had their picnic chairs, basket of food and stuffs to keep them occupied till the fireworks. We had no choice but to squeeze behind a grp of locals.Approximately 5 minutes b4 the fireworks,it started to drizzle, then people started to pack up.Well,at least that's what we thought. So we quickly stood up and lifted up our 'picnic mat' to try to grab the spot in front of us cos we thought the people were leaving. However, after we moved away from our current spot did we realise that they're not leaving, they're just merely standing up and getting ready to watch the fireworks.ARGH!!Then everyone started standing up.

Few minutes later,2 fighter planes flew across the sky to start off the fireworks. It was a beautiful sight, and a romantic place to be if you're with your loved ones.Must ask my future husband to bring me back here to watch the fireworks next time. That is,if i can find one.Throughout the whole 30 min of fireworks, everyone was Oo-ing and Wow-ing at the colorful sights and when it all ended finally, everyone jsut packed up and left, leaving behind all their rubbish.Pity the people who have to clean up the place the next day.

Str8 after the fireworks,we left and met up with the rest who got separated from us.Headed to Westend which was about 15 min walk from the fireworks place.Started to rain when we were on our way there.Anyway, when we got to Westend(my 1st time there),we saw the street lined with restaurants and gelato shops.YUM!Just the shops we need. However, due to our financial constraints(most of us are students),some decided to settle for pizza and some of us went over to the gelato shop for ice cream. And of cos,me being the greedy one, went for gelato! Then i got into my crazy photo-snapping 'spree' and started taking pictures of everyone there.I took a picture with everyone who was holding an ice cream(of cos only those i know).Guess i was high on gelato?!Hehe....

Everything ended well. The day was good and we all went home with a memorable day at the River Festival Fireworks and also news friends and stronger friendships with each other.Overall,it's a 10/10 rating day!!

AMEN!
