Today's sermon, God's End Times Revival Army was the second part to Hope Church Singapore's sermon series, End Times Revival which started 2 weeks ago.
Michael Raditya preached about how God is calling us to be part of His end times revival army and how we should respond to it.
God has a calling for every one of us today. Sadly, some misconceptions have caused some Christians to partially or never respond to that calling that God has for our lives.
Misconception #1 says that we need to be a full time church worker in order to serve and respond to God's call.
HOWEVER, the real issue here is about serving God fully wherever we are in whatever we do. Serving and responding to God's calling is NOT limited only to ones who are called into full-time ministry (e.g. pastors, evangelists etc), but for EVERY ONE OF US!
Misconception #2 says that God's calling for our lives should not be something that we enjoy. That means to say, if we are passionate about something and enjoy doing it, then that is not God's calling for our lives.
In 2003, Sherwood Pictures premiered its first full length motion picture, Flywheel, in three theaters in south Georgia. It aired on numerous Christian television networks around the world including TBN, Family Net, INSP, Faith TV, and Cornerstone TV, and has sold approximately 200,000 DVDs to date. The thousands of letters, e-mails, and phone calls from viewers has made this a powerful new avenue of ministry for the church.
In 2006, Sherwood produced its second feature, Facing the Giants, which was picked up by Provident Films (a Sony company) and released September 29th 2006 in 441 theaters nationwide.
Sherwood's third movie, Fireproof, was released nationwide in over 800 theaters on September 26, 2008.

These individuals enjoyed what they were doing and were using their passion for film for God. Hence, it is not true to say that we cannot enjoy God's calling upon our lives. It is true that sometimes we might have to go through some tough challenges as we respond to God's call, but it is definitely NOT TRUE to say that God's calling for our lives should not be something that we enjoy.
Responding to God's call involves challenges. However, would you rather face challenges as you respond to God's call; or would you rather run away from God's call and face challenges along the way?
I would choose the former.
